There is no such thing as a single ‘Comfort temperature’ because comfort depends of the climate, building and culture you live in. There is no such thing as a single solution to how to design for comfort in any climate. It always all depends. You cannot say that a family in Scandinavia should use the same energy to keep a home comfortable as a family in Portugal or Spain, Justas you cannot claim that design solutions suitable for North Germany are relevant to how homes in the Mediterranean or Africa should be designed. To achieve genuinely low energy, comfortable buildings for any climate a good place to learn from is the environment and climate the home is built in.
